Arvum Fusarium ssp. Test

Fusarium Root Rot PCR Test | Early Detection & Prevention

Fusarium ssp. wilt is a soil-borne fungal disease that causes vascular wilt, root rot, foot and stem rot, leaf lesions, fruit rot, head blight in cereals and/or post-harvest decay. It is critical to pinpoint Fusarium long before plants show droop or vascular browning. This can help save entire rooms by allowing early rogueing and sanitation.

When should I test for Fusarium?

Growers should consider Fusarium testing:

  • At first sign of random wilting patches
  • Quarterly on mother/clone rooms

Fusarium Test Example

  • Finding: Positive for Fusarium is a particular row of plants
  • Action: Remove affected plants plus two neighboring pots, disinfect trays with peracetic acid, install foot baths, and switch to sterile coco plugs for next propagation cycle.

What To Expect: We will ship the appropriate sample holder and accompanying instructions, along with a prepaid return label, if requested, for sending it back to our facility. Test results will be available within 1-2 weeks after which one of our Cultivation Advisors will contact you to discuss the next steps.
